Kirton Games Age of Sigmar event - May 20th

Thought it might be if interest to a few of you that we’re holding our first AoS event in the new gaming space on May 20th!

Details below:

You are invited to do battle at the first Age of Sigmar event to be held in our brand new gaming loft!

You will need an army of 1200 points picked from the pitched battle profiles available in Battle Tomes or the General’s Handbook. Armies do not have to be painted though there is a prize for best painted army on the day. The event takes place over four games. We are looking for players to bring lists that are themed and not designed purely to smash face. Players will be asked to play in the spirit of friendly competition.

09:30: Registration

10:00 – 11:30 Game 1: Gifts from the Heavens
11:45: Players Vote and best painted judging
12:00 – 12:30 Lunch
12:30 – 14:00 Game 2: Border War
14:15 – 15:45 Game 3: Blood and Glory
16:00 – 17:30 Game 4: Three Places of Power
17:30 Prize giving

Players will be asked to vote on the army they feel is most representative of the ethos of the game. Each player will get one vote for an army of their choice (not their own) that they feel represents a themed, narrative force or has a clear identity. Players may wish to bring themed lists and a short narrative with their army list.

Best general will be calculated using the following:
3 points for a major victory
2 points for a minor victory
1 point for a loss

To find our Store Champion for Summer 2017, we will add 2 points for each players vote received to the final scores. Additionally each player will nominate an opponent as a best game. Each best game vote counts for 1 point.

The overall champion therefore will be the player who scores the highest after wins, players votes and best game scoring are calculated.

House Rules:
Armies should use the Vanguard requirements from the General’s Handbook. Additionally we measure from the base, not the model. Allegiance abilities, artifacts and command traits will be used. Players can either opt to pick all of these ahead of the event and record on their army list OR roll for them at random before each game. The choice is yours!!

Parking - there is £2 all day parking at St Saviours Way carpark which is a 3 minute walk to the shop.

There are plenty of food options in Crediton, and were also looking at offering a delivered lunch option.
